| Maple syrup season arriving soon
While last year's maple syrup is gone, we're eagerly looking forward to the new season. It's the first crop we harvest each year.
We expect to have syrup available by March, depending on the weather. Call the farm to order and or arrange pickup, shipment or delivery.
We installed a brand new evaporator in 2008, and last year finished about 80 litres.
At Heritage Hills we practice environmentally sensitive standards, which means there is no lead solder or any non-stainless steel or food grade plastic in any of our processes. We also don't over tap our trees, and we don't use any chemicals or acids to clean our evaporators, preferring to use vinegar and a little bit of elbow grease. Also, no de-foaming agents are used, skimming the foam off with a stainless steel, mesh strainer instead.

- 1 litre – plastic – $22.00
